We have six municipal schools providing need for children residing in the city with good teaching and caring. For thens of thousands of youth in the city and as well as of the cities and community nearby, Lampang city provides opportunity for them to engage in sport, music, art and cultural activities throughout the year. City Park and recreation

| There are 7 public parks in Lampang City Municipality area. The most notable and popular used by Lampang people is Khelang Nakorn Park which is just renovated this year. The park is 24 rais and is located in the heart of the city. The park is teeming with people all ages and sexes morning and afternoon doing all sorts of exercises and recreation from leisure walk to brisk walt to jogging to aerobic, and etc. Occasionally the park is used to staged music and cultural events. |

Roads and pavement

| Lampang City Municipality take care the quality of life of Lampang people by offering them good and safety road and pavement. Many projects aimed to improving road and pavement with beautiful environment are done continuously. The most charming road is Duang Rat Road ; it?s beautifully decorated by ceramics carving which is the main product of Lampang. The pavement in Lampang especially in the Lampang Hospital area is renovated to be the pavement presented in Lampang and Lanna style. |

Sewage treatment

| The sewage from houses in Lampang City is managing by sending to septic tank in the area about 209 rais located in Tambol Pongsanthong. The tank with 6.72 square kilometers can treat about 25% of the sewage in the city. The collection of the sewage is divided into two part : in the south and the north of Lampang city. The construction of these two part is supported by the Ministry of Science and Technologie. |

Waste treatment

The waste in the city is operated by private Sector, under the control of Lampang City Municipality. The private sector manage the collection, carry and treat the waste by the BOT method (Build Operate Transfer). The waste treatment is managed in the 600 rais area located about 15 kilometers from the city. The waste treatment is done by burying and Lampang City Municipality always concerns the water in the land by observing and investigating the effect with the Office of Environment Region 2, the Department of Control the Pollution.

| In Lampang City, there are various markets which provide many kinds of products. Shoppers can find food or things for cooking all of the day because, in the city, there are about 3 markets ( Kaw Jaw, Ratsada, Khelang Airport ) opening since early morning to the evening and 3 markets ( Rob Wieng, Lak Mueng, Aswin ) opening since the evening until mid-night. Besides, for fruit lovers, they can choose to enjoy shopping seasonal qualified fruits in reasonable price at the fruit market in front of Wat Sri Chum and another place located opposite Bunyawat School. |

Art and culture

| Lampang City is the old city, so we have many old art and cultural. Lampang City Municipality runs policies to conserve and inherit the old heritage by supporting art and cultural actives such as organizing the graceful traditional festival : Songkran Festival and Loy Krathong. There are also some cultural exchanges between Lampang people and foreigners like Chineses, Indians and Laotians. |

| Located near the Khelang Nakorn Park, the Library of Lampang City Municipality opens daily between 10.00 a.m. - 08.00 p.m. Every day, there are about 300 people come to read, borrow and return books. Besides, there is the Information and Communication Technologies Center which offers the free internet service and free training fundamental computer program to every people. |
